April 23, 2020

Dear Parents,

I am pleased to announce that we have been given authorization by the Nanjing Municipal Government and the Nanjing Mayor to open school on Monday April 27th for grades 7 to grade 12.

The school has been thoroughly disinfected, and safety equipment, disinfecting solutions, fire extinguishers, infrared thermometers, special bins for disposing masks and medical equipment have been purchased in order to have the school ready to receive our students and staff. We have hired a Nurse and created a Medical Room and an isolation room in case personnel or students become sick.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the administrative staff, teachers, and parents for their continuous support during this time where we have been delivering online instruction.  Our teachers have been working extremely hard to try to deliver knowledge to our students under these circumstances.

Students from preschool, elementary, grade 6 and Chinese track will continue to have online classes. Also, starting next Monday, grade 6 will have to follow the new secondary timetable and log in at the time of their core subjects and CSL class.  Chinese track will follow the timetable given to them. Please make sure to check the secondary timetable attached again to this letter. Please note that on next Monday during the 1st period, Mr. Acosta will go over all the protocols with students and teachers at campus. Thus, G6 students will not have a class during the 1st period on that day.

Below are the procedures we must take in order to ensure our school community will be safe. It is very important that you and your child familiarize yourselves with the returning procedures by next Monday. Thus, please make sure that you read the procedures and print out the attached “student health card” for your child’s return. Starting next Monday, students will have to fill out a student health card at home everyday and hand it over to the bus monitor before taking the bus or to Mr. Brandon upon arrival at campus. Please note that students with a temperature of over 37.3°C  and/or without a student health card are not allowed to take the school bus and enter the campus.

The bus schedule will be sent via Jupiter Ed. tomorrow.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Louis Acosta M.Ed.

Headmaster
