Welcome from the founder

The inception of all great things originates in the seemingly insignificant confines of a thought. Few, if ever, imagine the transformative power that resides in such simplistic intents. And yet, as an idea begins to germinate, sprout and blossom, its impact has the potential to span the globe.

NEIS began with such a thought in 2003 with just 5 teachers and 7 students. Currently, NEIS has over 200 students and employs over 50 teachers. We are excited about where we have come from, who we are and where we are going. We invite you to join us in the story of NEIS as we continue to empower the younger generation through education and spur ideas into life-changing reality.

Founder/Chairman Pyong Mo Ahn

Welcome from the headmaster

I have been God blessed with opportunities and experiences in my over 30 years of working in International schools, both as teacher and administrator. I wish to share my knowledge and hope to continue to help NEIS become one of Nanjing’s top schools in partnership with parents, students, and faculty.

In my 4 years at NEIS, I have worked as Principal, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Coordinator and Headmaster. Together with teachers, administrators, parents, and students, we have been approved by WASC as a Candidate school for accreditation, this being the first step in the accreditation process. Our hope is to accomplish full accreditation within the next two years.

The unique culture of NEIS offers an educational program of challenging academics with a rich extracurricular program as well as formal and informal leadership development emphasizing community service and service learning. Teachers are mentors, but equally friends, deeply committed to guiding each student along with their personal educational journey through a values program based on Judeo-Christian values.

I thank you for entrusting us with your children in their journey toward adulthood.
