May 19, 2020

Dear Parents,

I am pleased to announce that we have been given authorization by the Nanjing Municipal Government and the Nanjing Mayor to open preschool on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. I would like to inform you that we will combine Nursery and Prekindergarten classes.  Ms. Hazel, and 2 assistants, will be in charge of this group.

It is important to note that on May 29th, we have Sports day and it will be an early release day, so students will go home after lunch. I also want to advice you that school will run until July 3rd, 2020.

The school has been thoroughly disinfected, and safety equipment, disinfecting solutions, fire extinguishers, infrared thermometers, special bins for disposing masks and medical equipment have been purchased in order to have the school ready to receive our students and staff. We have hired a Nurse and created a Medical Room and an isolation room in case personnel or students become sick.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the administrative staff, teachers, and parents for their continuous support during this time where we have been delivering online instruction.  Our teachers have been working extremely hard to try to deliver knowledge to our students under these circumstances.

Below are the procedures we must take in order to ensure our school community will be safe. It is very important that you familiarize yourselves with the returning procedures. Thus, please make sure that you read the procedures and print out the attached “student health card” for your child’s return. Starting next Tuesday, students will have to fill out a student health card at home every day and hand it over to the bus monitor before taking the bus or to our school nurse, Ms. Xu upon arrival at campus. Please note that students with a temperature of over 37.3°C and/or without a student health card are not allowed to take the school bus and enter the campus.

The bus schedule will be sent via Jupiter Ed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
